Overwhelm and Massage

Wow, it’s been a roller coaster of a ride the past 2 weeks!  Maui’s Best Massage simultaneously launched its first-ever Contest, as well as its first-ever Newsletter.  Big milestones for a small business providing massage!  So excited for our growth!

On the flip side to that, our website went down for the first couple of days of the Contest as we integrated a few new features onto it.  It’s difficult to understate my frustration, as I wanted everything to be implemented really smoothly!  And then, on a personal note, I had to have a delicate but serious conversation with someone I care about.  I had to set a strong boundary in our relationship, while fearing the possible consequences of having that particular conversation.  I was certain, however, that *not* having the conversation would be worse than having it.  Know what I mean?

And I don’t know about you, but I find car buying can be a stressful process.  I bought an electric vehicle (a Chevy Volt… love it!) a few days ago and the financing almost fell through just as I was about to sign for the car.  Fortunately, everything worked out in the end, but with everything else going on, the added uncertainty didn’t help matters.

In addition to those things, I was putting out lots of run-of-the-mill smaller “fires,” business and personal, and just had this sense of being overwhelmed.

Luckily, I have a great crew of massage therapists to work on me and help me relax so I can gain perspective on my various situations, and not feel so overwhelmed and stuck.  It’s amazing how grounded I can feel after a massage session, and how clear-headed I can be even in the midst of a lot of chaos.

So speaking from personal experience, don’t let stress pile up.  Massage can help you get more relaxed, and being relaxed will help you gain clarity, and being clear leaves you feeling more in control of your situation, which feels…  wonderful!

See you on the table!
